There are many great poems and dramatic monologues in which the poet writes as ‘an other’, e.g. human, animal or object. This workshop will encourage writers to ‘find another voice’ so the default setting of autobiography can be challenged. Catherine will provide some stimulating examples from various poets and will work with the group to try a range of options, which should result in some interesting writing in a different voice and from another perspective.
