Children Bringing More History Alive


The Friends of Broadwater and Worthing cemetery invite you to join them on July 6th for another of their popular Children’s Tours. This new tour will feature 4 boys and 4 girls, dressed in costume, who will tell the stories of a well known doctor, a police superintendent, the landlord of the New Street inn – also known as Pacy’s bloodhole, and an inmate at the workhouse who dared to complain about the quality of the potatoes he was served.…

August FBWC tour


The Friends of Worthing and Broadwater Cemetery have would be delighted to see you at their two new tours this August, the first of these is on Saturday 3rd August when we shall be looking at some inquests, which were written up in great detail in the local press. Amongst others these range from James Tester who died after treading on a nail opposite Swandean Hospital, he was subsequently sent his insurance card and told not to come back. Unfortunately…
