YOU ARE HERE NOW / Music Review by Keith Kelly

THE FIRST OF A NEW MONTHLY SERIES of Friday night “nearly unplugged” original music events went with a multigenerational theme: the Pavilion Cafe Bar (known to old Worthingites as the Denton Lounge) played host to Northbrook MET teenage sensations Chequered Red, who premiered some brand new songs, then Worthing resident Crayola Lectern, who launched their new vinyl album to rave reviews in The Wire, and finally Brighton band Fragile Creatures, who could barely believe the gorgeousness of the setting. Our photo shows the moonlight reflected off the sea, visible to band and audience. Stephen Wilcox from the band said: “We had a lovely time playing in Worthing on Friday – we were all blown away by how beautiful a setting the pier and the Pavilion Café Bar were.”

Three more original music experiences of a “nearly unplugged nature” returns to WTG Unplugged on Friday 13th July at Pavilion Cafe Bar.
