YOU ARE HERE NOW / Me and My Girl Review

If you like an enthusiastic and happy cast, tap dancing, singing and comedy all thrown into one with a touch of nostalgia then this is the show to see.

The talented cast sang and tap danced through songs that I didn’t know I had stored in my head; Leaning on a lamp post, Me and my girl, Lambeth walk and The sun has got his hat on. The Lambeth Walk rendition by the whole cast was simply oozing with fun and enjoyment, I challenge you to keep your feet from tapping along.

Amazingly the cast managed to negotiate the open orchestra pit, a small triangular opening situated at the front of the stage, it was on my mind throughout the whole 2.5 hours.

Matt Lucas sang wonderfully and cracked jokes through out the show and who knew Caroline Quentin could sing so well, in fact all of the main characters were superb. So book yourself a seat for some wonderful summer entertainment.

Me and My Girl is currently showing at the Chichester Festival Theatre 2nd July – 25th August (prices from £10), see here for more information.
