With food and drink firmly on the up in Worthing – we even hear talk about there being a restaurant quarter – we’re bidding a warm welcome to these new kids on the block.

All-day diner clustered in the burgeoning foodie haven of Warwick Street. Try the special chorizo hash for breakfast, or burgers with halloumi fries, homemade sauces and mayo. Opened in July, the friendly service and chilled vibe has already won plenty of fans, and four legged friends are welcome too. FB @jonnysworthing

Opened back in July, this cracking micro pub has an impeccable pedigree as owners Mike and Jo previously worked at Brooksteed and the Georgi Fin. Expect a delicious selection of ales, beers and cider in cask, keg and cans, alongside cheese and wine pairings, slap-up breakfasts and a handy takeaway service. Treat yourself to their famous Bloody Marys for an adult headache. FB @thefoxandfinchalehouse

Proper old-fashioned shellfish stall selling everything from tubs of whelks to slippery oysters which has recently made it up to the Wednesday market in town. They’ve been attracting droves of hungry punters to their weekend pitch on the prom over the summer months. Regulars rate the crab sandwich as shrimply the best. They’ll even take text orders for collection!

Say Merhaba to this tremendous Turkish bakery tucked away from the Warwick Street bustle on Stanford Square. Indulge in apple tea and baklava, with traditional-style breakfasts and savoury meals served all day. Make sure you leave room for the pizza waffles – they’re a true delight! FB @avelbakerycafe

Promising Japanese food with a modern twist, Yamu Yamu will serve street food by day and small plates and cocktail by night from its spot nestled on Montague Street in the vibrant West End. FB @yamuyamuUK

Another imminent arrival on Warwick Street, this newbie promises delicious Spanish tapas dishes from pollo al ajillo to scrumptious huevos rancheros. They’ve already created a buzz with their FB competition to add your favourite dish to the menu. FB @oliviasrestaurant

Big news of the last month: Perch on the Beach is set to expand to become Perch on the Pier. We can’t wait to see what they serve up! FB @lancingbeach
