Wednesday – Community Matters: Get Involved
Want to get involved in your local community? Drop in and find out what’s going on, whether it’s inspiring volunteering opportunities from beach cleans to beekeeping, or community action projects such as GoodGym to the Repair Café, there are so many local events and projects and we cover them in Here & Now.
11 – 12pm Meet the Repair Cafe / Transition Town Worthing
12-1.30pm Chat with Naomi Wilding, Worthing Community Chest about grants and how you can support their fundraising recycling project.
12 – 2pm Talk to Freedom Works community manager, Rosie, about office space and co-working.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Try out rowing with Worthing Rowing Club Feeling competitive? Challenge us to a rowing race! Find out more about joining the club.

Thursday- Meet the team
A chance to meet some of our editorial team and chat about #stuffthatmatters. Frances, Abi and Zoe will be around today – if you would like to get involved with Here & Now, come along for a chat.
1 – 3pm Jimmy Pearson, our resident cartoonist, will be drawing cartoons LIVE! Come and watch! If you are a local cartoonist, we’d love to chat with you too.
Friday – Film & Theatre and The Time Machine
Whether you are a professional or an enthusiast, there’s plenty to keep an eye on in film and theatre in Worthing. Pick up April issue of Here & Now for local theatre feature.

10 – 11am South Down’s Film Makers. Try out filming equipment and chat about opportunities provided by the Club.

Saturday – Art, Magic and Music
Come and meet Hazel, our arts correspondent who will be working on a collaborative decoupage project live at Colonnade House. She’ll be ripping up old copies of the magazine and using them to decorate giant cardboard H & N letters, and you’re invited to roll up your sleeves and get involved.

With live performances from Wannado Street Dance, local musicians Lisa Lo and The Blind Mice and more to be confirmed, this shouldn’t be missed.

2 – 4pm Local author and illustrator John Bond will also be joining us to sign copies of his beautiful book Mini Rabbit Not Lost.
