April 16 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Free Entry + Raffle

Both Tim Wade on trombone Rob Heasman who plays the trumpet live locally and have often played together. Tim was at the Hare as recently as last year, but Rob has not been here for some while? They both have strong associations with Ian Hamer who founded the Sussex ‘Youth’ Jazz Orchestra, shortly after he moved to Brighton in 1986. Ian Hamer was a trumpet player with many famous players in his own sextet including Tubby Hayes, Dick Morrissey, Alan Skidmore & Harry South. Tonight, the quintet is going to play a selection of Ian Hamer’s big band/small ensemble music. The other musicians in the quintet are Simon Robinson on piano, Paul Whitten on bass and Bobby Worth on drums.
