Sea Dogs and Troubadours
November 21 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm£10
Opening with the south coast’s premier sea shanty singing ensemble The Wellington Wailers, this will be a fabulous evening with surprises along the way! Fresh from their performance at this year’s Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival, The Wailers are renowned for raising the roof, mixing close harmony vocals, humour and traditional songs of the sea. The live stage show incorporates multimedia and theatrical presentations.
Laura Ward and the Risen Road will perform a set of original roots tunes plus new and vivid interpretations of songs from the traditional canon. Drawing on Nu-Folk, bluegrass Irish and contemporary sources, Ward’s music celebrates and reinvents the legacy of the troubadour.
The Purple Shoes: Fronted by singer/songwriter Marie Dance, The Purple Shoes bring their blend of harmony vocals and Americana-inspired music with an English twist to Ropetackle. They have expanded their line-up of musicians for this event to create a vibrant stage show that will showcase new material from their forthcoming album, Small Town Fairy Tales, as well some well-known audience favourites.
